Lonnie got his start at age 9 studying with 2 incredible teachers who are still teaching today. He continued his private instruction into high school where he attended San Francisco School Of The Arts for Vocal Performance. After a number of the obligatory rock bands in his art school days Lonnie was hired on to perform with the nation's leading corporate entertainment act, The Pink Flamingos, and tour the world! He performed at fancy hotels, festivals, and performing arts centers around the globe. He then put on a cowboy hat and took up stage right to play Western Swing guitar with the award winning Western artist Syd Masters. After a decade of performing and racking up many frequent flyer miles and truck stop points it was time to head back to the woodshed. This time to delve deep into traditional roots and acoustic music. Lonnie apprenticed with a couple of the best veteran bluegrass and old-time pickers in northern New Mexico before moving to Oregon where he currently calls home with his wife and son. Lonnie lives in Portland playing in bluegrass groups and teaching private lessons of all the many styles he's picked up over the years.
